Harun Rashid brings more than a decade of accomplishment-laden experience in the Healthcare Information Technology industry. Mr. Rashid has been responsible for building a responsive IT organization that consistently delivers results by aligning technology initiatives with business goals, with a high degree of focus in improving service delivery, standardization, and business and system performance.

Mr. Rashid has over nineteen years of experience in the information technology field of which fifteen years have been dedicated to the health care industry. Mr. Rashid has held several Chief Information Officer Positions in large scale healthcare integrated delivery networks at Rush Health Systems, Gateway Health Systems and Jefferson Regional Medical Systems. He recently served as the Senior Vice President over Rural and Community division for Phoenix Health Systems hospitals nationwide.

Currently Mr. Rashid serves as the Vice President of Global Health Services at Children’s Hospital where he is responsible for providing oversight, strategic planning, and business development services to International Telemedicine Services. He formerly served as Chief Information Officer at Children’s and led the process for Children's to be designated as the first pediatric hospital to achieve HIMSS Level 7.

In-addition, Mr. Rashid was a key player in the oversight responsibilities for a brand new state of the art, world class Children’s hospital which opened in spring 2009. Under his leadership, Children’s Hospital became the first outsourced healthcare IT in the world to be certified in Carnegie Mellon ITSQC eSCM-sp IT best practice service delivery model. Through his work, Mr. Rashid has assisted health systems in achieving various national recognitions/designations. Mr. Rashid received a prestigious award from CIO magazine as one of the “Top 100 CIO” in the country in 2001 for the most innovative use of technology to support patient-care.

Mr. Rashid holds an executive masters of business administration from the University of Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and business management from the University of West Alabama.
