Fourth Quarter 2007 Construction Update

Main Hospital Building

Sidewalks around the campus are 50 percent complete. Work is on hold until spring.
Work on the elevators is ongoing. Currently, eight elevators have been completed.
Drywall installation is ongoing throughout the building. All drywall work should be complete by February 2008.
Ceiling framing is continuing throughout the building. Ceiling tile installation will start in December 2007.
Ceramic tile work in the restrooms is ongoing.
Flooring installation is proceeding on levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Quads A & D.
Casework installation has been completed in quadrants A and D on levels 2, 3, and 4. Casework is currently being installed on levels 5, 6 & 7.
Wall rail installation is progressing on levels 5 thru 9.
Work is progressing in the sixth floor atrium. The overhead rough-in work is 90 percent complete. Drywall installation is complete on the interior columns.
Johnson Controls is installing thermostats, fire alarm devices and other BAS devices throughout the building.
Johnson Controls has installed racks in all of the telecom rooms.

John G. Rangos Sr. Research Center and Staff Garage

The loading dock slab on grade area in the Research Center has been completely poured. Masonry block is nearing completion in the loading dock.
Metal siding installation is complete at the penthouse and upper penthouse.
Brick veneer has been completed on the north elevation. This work is continuing on the east and west sides.
Windows and curtain walls are currently being installed at the east and west sides of the building.
Copper cladding installation continues on the south elevation.
Masonry work continues on the lower floors of the building.
Interior overhead mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection work is ongoing on all floors. Work in the vertical shafts also is ongoing.
Drywall installation has started and is progressing up from level 5.
Johnson Controls is pulling wire in all installed cable trays. They are terminating their control wire to the appropriate devices throughout the building.
Mechanical, electrical, and fire protection rough-ins are complete in the Staff Garage.

Faculty Pavilion

All overhead rough-ins are complete except on level 1 and in the mechanical rooms.
Electrical rough-ins are proceeding on levels 3 through 1.
Metal stud installation is complete on the upper floors and is continuing on level 1.
Drywall installation is ongoing on levels 5 and 4. The sixth floor is being taped and finished.
Painting has started on levels 8 and 7.
The bridge structure between the pavilion and the Main Hospital has been set. The slab for the bridge has been poured.
Elevator equipment installation for cars 30, 31, and 32 continues.
The exterior walls have been installed. Window installation has started.
