Whatever your role, you can be certain that your efforts will make a difference for our patients and families. Our primary programs include:

At this time, we are not able to accommodate requests by corporate or community volunteer groups such as student or church groups who wish to come to the hospital to provide direct service to patients and families.

We encourage any/all groups interested in providing support to Children’s Hospital to do so in the community whether via fundraising initiatives or service projects.Learn more about how to support the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation via fundraising initiatives.

Please note that due to the sensitive nature of the pediatric hospital environment, we do not currently offer volunteer opportunities for children under the age of 18 outside of our Teen Volunteer Program.

The Volunteer Services Department does not process requests for internship, externship, or research opportunities within Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. If you are interested in pursuing those types of opportunities, please contact the individual hospital department directly for information and necessary steps required for those experiences.
