The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC maintains an ACGME accredited fellowship training program in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology. This one-year advanced fellowship is designed to enable physicians looking to accrue additional experience in the care of pediatric patients with hepatobiliary diseases, including those who undergo liver transplantation.

This one-year fellowship is offered to individuals who have completed a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology. During this fellowship, fellows will gain expertise in the field of general and transplant hepatology, fulfilling the transplant hepatology milestones and competencies set forth by the American Board of Pediatric(ABP), the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). At the completion of their training, fellows will be eligible to sit for the American Board of Pediatrics Transplant Hepatology Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) Examination.
