Each year at Dr. Bill Neches Heart Camp for Kids, more than 150 children ages 8-16 with heart conditions come from across the United States and Canada to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Camp Kon-O-Kwee, a YMCA camp in Fombell, Pa. (near Zelienople).
At the Annual Heart Institute Family Picnic children meet other children with heart conditions, while families have the opportunity to meet and talk in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Physicians, staff, and friends of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC attend and are available to take questions and offer guidance to kids and their families.
