Referrals can be made by pediatricians, primary care physicians, obstetricians, other health professionals, parents, and patients. Any questions or concerns, please contact the team coordinator at 412-692-8942. For scheduling, please call 412-692-8650, choose option 4, then option 2.
Children’s Hospital provides a coordinated team approach to the child’s vascular lesion. When a referral is made to the center, the coordinator determines which specialists are best suited to meet the child’s needs. The team completes a full evaluation and determines whether further testing is needed. The plan is communicated to the family as well as to the referring physician during and after the visit. The team coordinator works to coordinate the care of the patient by answering questions, making appointments, and coordinating any necessary diagnostic tests.
