Anne Marie Kuchera is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, and a licensed professional counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. She joined Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Weight Management and Wellness Center in 2007, where she works with children and adolescents who experience significant weight challenges, and their primary caregivers. Since 2011, she has been working in collaboration with obesity experts and primary care providers to develop an integrated system of hospital and primary care-based pediatric obesity prevention and treatment, a project funded by the Department of Defense, and where she leads program development and clinical training efforts.

In addition to her roles with the Weight Management and Wellness Center, Anne Marie is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh where she teaches graduate-level courses in eating behavior and advanced counseling, and at Duquesne University where she teaches behavioral sciences. She also consults on and facilitates trainings in Motivational Interviewing, and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). Ms. Kuchera’s professional background includes the development, implementation, and management of population-based health promotion initiatives in community and organizational settings; development and integration of health and wellness coaching programs into the care management continuum; public health interventions; behavioral health counseling, and clinical nutrition.

Ms. Kuchera has a Bachelor of Science degree in clinical dietetics and nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh, and masters’ degrees in counseling psychology and organizational & community psychology from Chatham University.
