Children's Hospital is part of the UPMC family.
The Eye Disease Research Registry collects medical information about children with eye diseases or conditions to create a database for further analysis by researchers. Many advances in medicine have resulted from research involving the collection and analysis of medical record information of patients with a specific disease or condition. The registry may also be used to help identify candidates for future studies related to eye disease.
All patients who are seeking examination and/or treatment or who are being treated by the Division of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC are invited to participate in this research registry.
Boys: All ages
Girls: All ages
Parents/guardians will permit past, current and future medical record information for the child to be included in the registry.
