Biographical Summary

Dena Hofkosh, MD, is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician in the Child Development Unit at Children's Hospital of UPMC, specializing in the assessment of infants and young children with developmental disorders including cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders and global developmental delay. She also works as a general pediatrician in the Primary Care Center of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC where she teaches and supervises medical students and residents. She is the Pediatric Residency Program Director, and the pediatric co-director of the Residency Program in Pediatrics/General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Hofkosh received a bachelor's degree in English and Biology at New York University College of Arts and Sciences, where she was graduated Cum Laude in 1975. She attended Medical School at New York University School of Medicine, graduating in 1979. She completed her Pediatric Residency and a fellowship in Ambulatory and Community Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

Dr. Hofkosh is board certified in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in addition to being certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
