Description of Services

The Feeding Clinic provides assessment, treatment, ongoing support and follow-up care for infants and children under 5 years of age with feeding problems. The focus is twofold:

  • To identify the physical/physiological contribution to the problem
  • To address the behavioral and relationship issues between the child, mother and family as related to the presenting problem

Consultation services to other health professionals also are available.

Referral Requirements

Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children’s Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician. All necessary referral and authorization forms must be received before the patient’s visit. For accurate provider numbers or more information, please call the office number.
