Parent-to-Parent Connection

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Division of Pediatric Rheumatology’s Parent-to-Parent Connection is a program for parents and families with a child who has been newly diagnosed with a chronic illness or for those who would like to connect with other families who have a child living with the same chronic illness.

Please e-mail Carolyn Confer, Rheumatology social worker, at carolyn.confer@chp.edu to join this group. Carolyn will contact you within one week with the name and e-mail and/or phone number of another family who has given Children’s Hospital permission for you to contact them.

In your e-mail, please provide the name of the parent and/or guardian, the child’s name, the child’s disease, why you are interested in speaking with another family (i.e., newly diagnosed illness, medication questions, support), and preferred contact information, such as phone number and e-mail.
