Parent-to-Parent Connection

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Division of Pediatric Rheumatology’s Parent-to-Parent Connection is a program for parents and families with a child who has been newly diagnosed with a chronic illness or for those who would like to connect with other families who have a child living with the same chronic illness.

Please call Jessica Standish, Rheumatology social worker, at 412-692-5258 to join this group. Jessica will contact you within one week with the name and e-mail and/or phone number of another family who has given Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC permission for you to contact them.

When you call, be prepared to provide:

Your name
Your child’s name
The child’s disease
Why you are interested in speaking with another family (i.e., newly diagnosed illness, medication questions, support)
Your preferred contact information, such as home/cell phone numbers
