Schedule a Consultation

Physicians and parents are encouraged to consult Children’s Division of Pediatric Surgery for evaluation of a new or recurrent problem. Radiology and pathology reports may be sent in advance of a patient appointment in order to determine if the patient would benefit from a full evaluation. The initial evaluation includes a complete history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic studies by members of our staff. Additional consultations and diagnostic tests are performed as necessary. Every attempt is made to complete the initial evaluation in one to two days.

All options are explored with parents to arrive at the best treatment approach for your child. If surgery is recommended, pre-operative testing, surgical procedures and rehabilitation and recovery are discussed. Following treatment, patients are encouraged to return for follow-up care as necessary.
