Dedicated Inpatient Unit
To care for children with cancer, Children’s has a dedicated inpatient unit that serves approximately 1,220 patients each year with 11 general oncology beds and six bone marrow transplant (BMT) beds.
Marty Ostrow Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Center
For outpatient cancer care, Children’s has the Marty Ostrow Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Center. The Marty Ostrow Center handles approximately 6,800 outpatient visits each year and consists of six exam rooms, three treatment rooms, two isolation rooms, an infusion room, a laboratory for on-site testing, a dedicated pharmacy and a special play area, all of which were designed to provide a comfortable environment for children to receive treatments and follow-up care.
