Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

Description of Services

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh, is a state-of-the-art pediatric primary care center on wheels.

Pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and our Pediatric Environmental Medicine Center provide medical care to children and adolescents who are unable to visit a doctor regularly. The Care Mobile staff also can provide information about community-based health education classes in the community. They offer health education to teach parents, guardians and children about healthy lifestyles and safety. The Care Mobile can be seen in the community and at health fairs.

To support the healthy development of children, Care Mobile staff members provide health education on board for:

injury prevention
health and safety
nutrition
