All employees at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC will participate in at least two days of orientation. The first day of orientation is called Beginnings at UPMC, which is held every Monday for all employees. The second day of orientation provided to all new employees is called Beginnings at Children’s, which is held on every Tuesday. The Beginnings at Children’s program is a high-energy welcome session designed to introduce you to and provide information in the following areas: our vision, mission, and values; patient and family-centered care; parking; hospital tour; ID badge and access; employee health and wellness; as well as other areas.
