Route 28 Improvement Project
The $23.5 million Route 28 improvement project was initiated in 2010 and will continue through 2014. During this time road closures, detours, and delays are anticipated. Please use caution and be alert for changing traffic patterns. View project details (PDF).
31st Street Bridge Closed at Route 28
For the duration of the PennDOT reconstruction project, the 31st Street Bridge will be closed at Route 28 — likely into 2014.
Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling on Route 28. PennDOT also reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
