The dr. is very efficient and capable. She always knows our history and recognizes us immediately.
While we had a long wait for our appointment, I take this in account that Dr. Tyler Kabera is an amazing doctor and truly cares about her patients and their health. She spent time with us, answered questions and was very respectful to my daughter and myself. She is careful and does not rush you or discount your concerns unlike others @CHP. I would recommend her to anyone who was in need of a neurosurgeon.
The doctor has fantastic bedside manner and is very thorough.
Dr. Taylor was very knowledgeable of my condition. She gave myself and my mom detailed information on next steps and answered all of our questions and concerns.
waiting is way to long I had an 8:00 (which we arrived for at 7:30 as requested by scheduling) and 8:30 routine visit apt, and we were not finished with the doctor until after 11:00I understand emergencies and so thankful the doctors are there to help, just seems like something can be done that a 6 year old does not spend over 3 1/2 hours in the exam room for 2 simple apt where the doctors agreed to just do more testing. I appreciate my doctors and there attention to our child, I just wish there was a way to move along the appointments- less waiting time.
I love the Dr Tyler-Kabara talks to my son during the check-up. She asks him the questions, talks to him about how he is feleing, explains things to him and asked me my comments/feedback at the end only. It's so refreshing to have a health care provider give the child a voice. Thanks!
Very warm, responsible, and knowledgable. I'm really grateful to her for encouraging a consevative approach to managing my injury, as other doctors leapt straight to the option of surgery, which I very much wanted to avoid if possible. She also encouraged me to resume my regular activities, which I'd been missing. She's the perfect balance of funny, professional, brisk, and kind.
Overall it was a pretty good visit. However, I was freaked out a bit about hearing about my possible shunt revision. This really wasn't great as I suffer from extreme anxiety and as a result became sick in the days that followed. (written by my child)
Dr.TK has been nothing short of exceptional through this difficult time. She is a skilled neurosurgeon with a great bedside manner and I feel so blessed to have her on our team
Dr. T-K is God's magician!
knowledgeable and pleasant as always. I wouldn't take my son to anyone else
Dr. Tyler-Kabara is always straight and to the point. She explores all options and keeps her patients top priority and communicates with everyone involved in the child's care. We really appreciate her!
Dr Tyler-Kabara is a wonderful lady.she recalled a prior encounter with my son and was also very informative about tree procedure she's about to perform on him.
Wait time for the appointment was 50 plus minutes. I have a child with low immune system. Not a safe environment for her to be in. The wait at Children's for anything is ridiculous.
it was a really good appointment... staff was very helpful and kind and so were the pa and dr. tyler kabara
everyone at Children's Hospital made it the best experience for us considering what we were there for.
My husband and I traveled from Indianapolis, IN to come see Dr. Kabara for a second opinion. Her and her PA Jenna were amazing. They really took the time with us and made sure our concerns were heard and addressed. Even though we did not leave with a diagnosis per say we felt much better as we had a game plan in place. I thank them for their time and concern. Definitely glad we made the 6hour trip!
very easy to talk with and always very upbeat
very good behavior. answered all questions
I loved meeting dr. Tyler kabara! the only complaint that I have is that our appointment was at 10:15 and we weren't put into a room until 11:40. With a 14 month old it is hard to keep her occupied in a waiting room for over and hour and a half. other than that I loved the doctor and the nurses!!
Great experience every time
Provider was a little confusing. Stated 5 years ago she would've talked us into surgery for our child, but now she's more reserved. No tests ordered. Was going to let us decide on if we wanted an MRI, then decided not too. Now, we have to wait 6 months. And it wasn't very nice when she stated, "she doesn't expect us to know the words she is saying."
The dr. had given us as a family the utmost attention and was genuinely thrilled how far our daughter had come artistically having to use her non-dominate hand since the stroke.
We feel that we are in good hands with dr. tyler-kabara and our childs NF2
Thank you for saving my son! I'm so happy we may not have to come back; however, admittedly, I'm going to miss you. You all are AWESOME! God bless you!
My son was so excited to see the doctor and talk to her. She did not rush him or push him or act like what he was saying was unimportant. She told us that he made her day!
Very helpful and understanding in what is a worrying time.
Was not seen at appointment time. 30 minutes after appointment time I approached the staff to ask how much longer it would be. I was told she would check and get back to me. 15 minutes after initially asking, I went to the desk and asked again. I was told it would be at least another hour. I left at that point.
The Physician Assistant that we saw yesterday was fantastic. She took the time to explain what she was going to do during her assessment and made my daughter feel at ease.
The doctor and pa were great! The wait time was over 2 hours. We were patient, but that is unacceptable.
always receive excellent care
after an automobile accident that caused severe injuries to our grandson, we placed him Dr. Tyler-Kabara's hands to perform spinal surgery. She performed miracles. She will always have our trust and deep gratitude.
We will only go to her. She is the best NS dr ever! my son loves her and she listens to everything he has to say and she has direct conversations s with him regarding g his condition and treatments. She explains everything in detail and she has a great bedside manner. She puts me at ease and I trust her wholeheartedly!
We love our doctor and staff at children's. In every exspirence....I'm so happy we stayed with Children's..
Our experience with my sons provider is always exceptional. being that my son has a rare disease, his quality of life now and in the future is at risk. The most comforting thing that we have experienced with Dr. Tyler Kabara is that my 16 year old son trusts her completely, values her thoughts and opinions, and depends on her honesty where his disease is concerned. We could not be in a better position right now, we have been so blessed to have a doctor that goes to all lengths to know what is going on with our son, and find out what is best for him.
Always 100% respect, compassion and knowledge of our child with special needs given by Dr. Tyler-Kabara. We have complete trust and respect for her. Her PA at this appt.(unfortunatley, do not recall her name)was so kind, professional, considerate of my daughter and me. Very knowledgeable abt Chiari Malformation l. I am very thankful for both and have recommended Dr. T-K to a friend that I saw there the same day! Dr. T-K a blessing to have at Children's!!
always knowledgeable and very attentive to my child concerns
