Dr. Witchel is great had been my daughter's doctor since she was about a week old. Not only great at her professional but is a great person. Wouldn't want anyone else treating my daughter.
Dr. Selma Witchel provides excellent care for our daughter who has a rare genetic disease. She is not only knowledgeable about the condition, but is willing to go above and beyond to ensure she receives appropriate care. She is also very patient in listening to my questions and answering them thoroughly. I don't know what we'd do without her care!
we waited almost 3 hrs to see the Dr. the Dr listened to what I had to say but didn't take what I had to say into consideration when making a decision about my daughter medication.
Dr. Witchel is awesome. We love her and she takes great care of our family.
Everyone was patient and kind.
Overall, a fantastic visit with Dr. Witchel and her assistant!!
Always nice to us
Dr Witchell and Erika Mcann have been absolutely wonderful with my son. They make his very serious and potentially life threatening condition manegable. They have always answered all of my questions and have taken excellent care of my son. We are blessed to have them as part of his medical team!
both Erika McCain and Dr. Witchel are fantastic and we are so thankful to have them in our childs life.
Overall, everyone at the UPMC Children's Hospital are very intelligent, fantastic and do very well in helping and working with children and their parents! Very proud of this hospital and praising all that are there!
wait time to be seen by the doctor was extremely long. arrived 1/2 hour early to ensure enough time to check in, didn't get seen until almost 1 1/2 hours past original appointment time. this could be a problem for parents who have children who have special needs or don't have patience to wait for long periods of time.
Every time we come for an appointment we wait an average of an hour for our appointment. This is unacceptable for me as we already drive an hour and have taken her out of school early. In addition, by the time we saw the doctor this visit, we had waited over an hour I believe and then the receptionist was gone and we could not reschedule - it is always impossible to get an appointment if you miss one when your child is sick or if the doctor's schedule is not available when you try to schedule upon leaving for our next appointment. This appointment took so long that my daughter got a migraine due to not having a snack. The entire appointment took almost 3 hours and the doctor only saw her for approximately 15 minutes.
We had to wait over an hour to see the doctor. There was no clear reason given for this delay other than seeing other patients. There should be a much greater respect for time of the patient and parents. This is truly an unsatisfactory situation that should be addressed.
I love Dr. Witchel, but often have to wait an extended amount of time well beyond my appointment time slot to see her. Sometimes I wish she'd be a little more aggressive with her treatment plan with my child
Dr. Witchel is super friendly. She's my favorite doctor that I have.
besides taking over 6 months to get this appointment, our experience wa good experience.
Dr. Witchel and Erika McCann are very much appreciated by our family. They are always quick to answer questions and concerns and provide awesome care.
We love Dr. Witchel
Dr Witchel and her staff are excellent providers and I am blessed to have them.
I wish we did not have to wait 2 hours to see our physician.
not seen timely. 2hrs late. 11am appt but not seen until after one. Spent 1h in the waiting room and 1h in the exam room before being seen. No staff checked on us or explained the delay.
THIS PROVIDER NEEDS TO RUN ON TIME. THE WAIT IN THE EXAM ROOM IS ANYWHERE FROM 1 HOUR TO 2 HOURS. THIS IS AN ALL DAY EVENT. MY DAUGHTER THEN MISSES AT LEAST HALF DAY OF SCHOOL OR MORE. I LIKE THIS PROVIDER, BUT THE WAIT MAKES ME WANT TO FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER.
Dr. Witchel is a fabulous Doctor. She really listens to what you have to say and genuinely really cares....
We arrived on time for the appointment. Went to the the check in desk, we were told we'd get a text message when it was our turn to register - this never happened. Waited for over 15 min. Decided to go directly to the doctor's reception area to check in. Waited for over 90 minutes to see the doctor. So, in total, we were there for 2 hours. I think the doctor is great, but the wait time is ridiculous. My son missed more than a half of a day of school for a 15 minute appointment. Totally unacceptable. I'm happy with Dr. Witchel, but something has to be done. We wait for longer than 45 minutes every time we have an appointment.
Dr. Witchel was very helpful in navigating my concerns about my transition and in college. She was very knowledgable about trans issues in Pittsburgh and great at helping me navigate through all of the resources available in Pittsburgh.
The last two visits we had wait times 30-45 minutes or more.
the doctor is great, wouldn't see anyone else
Dr. Witchel is not only very knowledgable but a very caring and kind physician. We are very fortunate to have her as the doctor for our three girls. She has provided us with excellent medical care over the years often going above and beyond.
Care provider spoke with my daughter in a very caring and professional manner that I feel put my daughter at ease during the visit.
Everything was great. I could not think of about anything that would need improvement.
Dr. Witchel and Tami have kept me healthy and my CAH manageable for my whole life, 22+ years. I am blessed to have them as my physician /nurse team.
Dr. Wetchel is a wonderful doctor and we are so thankful to see her.
this was our first visit and it was an overall great visit
All the staff v candid and try their level best to help us.
Dr. Witchel provides excellent care and shows concern for my condition.
