How to Apply

The Child Neurology and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD) program has openings July 2019 and will start interviewing for these positions beginning in November 2018.

The Division of Child Neurology accepts up to one Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD) resident each year for a four-year training program that leads to board eligibility in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and in Neurology with special competence in Child Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For candidates who are applying for admission to the categorical Pediatrics Residency as well as the child neurology residency, we will have an integrated interview and admission process

If you are a medical student and if you are applying for both Pediatrics (2017) and Child Neurology/NDD (2019) you will use ERAS and matches will be made through the NRMP. For further information, please visit the ERAS, NRMP, and AAMC sites. Since the Child Neurology and NDD programs are combined with Pediatrics, applicants only need to apply to the Child Neurology and/or NDD programs. A separate application to Pediatrics is not necessary.

If you will have completed an accredited pediatric residency and would be able to start child neurology or neurodevelopmental disabilities training in 2019, we will have residency positions available through the NRMP in 2018.  Prerequisites for acceptance into this program include completion of a minimum of two years of an ACGME-approved residency program in pediatrics and steps I, II and III of the USMLE. Foreign medical graduates must have up-to-date ECFMG certification.
