Children's Hospital is part of the UPMC family.
This research registry is a central repository of information about pediatric patients who have been treated by the Intestinal Care and Rehabilitation Center (ICARE) at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The registry serves as a means to identify the clinical characteristics of patients being followed, assess clinical outcomes, and evaluate the long-term medical and nutritional management issues in children with intestinal disease.
Patients of both genders being treated by the ICARE Center are eligible to have their medical record information included in the registry.
Boys: All ages
Girls: All ages
Beyond consent, nothing is required of the patient. General and medical information about the patient, including diagnosis, intestinal characteristics, laboratory results, procedures and prescribed therapies will be entered into the registry.
Visits: None beyond normal clinical care visits
Duration: Continues as long as patient is seen at the ICARE Center
