Dr. Mullen was thorough and listened to my comments and questions. She was friendly and knowledgeable.
Amy is great at her job, very polite and knowledgeable .And actually cares about her patience !
I had good experiences never have problems with amy
she was very good today and listened well to us.
the wait time is always an hour or more. we signed in at 2:45 and left at 4:00 for a physical.
This was a visit to the office during their walk-in hours. I am very satisfied with the visit and got my child the care she needed in a timely manor. I'm so happy the office now has a walk-in timeframe. we've utilized this several times for my family!! Thank you!
it was goid experience
I drive an hour for my daughter to see Dr. Mullen as her pediatrician, which I feel should show that I am extra happy with the care we receive from this office. The providers and staff are excellent!
Always have a good experience there!
This is the best Dr we have ever had! the service was wonderful. would highly recommended. thank you. Dr William Shrout
It is not that Dr.Mullen does not listen to what I have to say, but rather that she already knows her answer before I talk. This has occurred at least 4 times that I can think of immediately. Unfortunately, she missed a significant illness that we had to return for last year, and I feel she only ordered a test when I was stubbornly skeptical of the "it's just a virus" diagnosis. Since that time, I have worried about her lack of truly considering that the parent may actually have insight to their child's needs. It is one thing to listen, but another to hear. That being said, she is always friendly.
haven't had any bad experiences. she's lovely.
it was a good visit overall. Dr Mullen was attentive and knew what she was talking about.
Dr Mullen has been very understanding and went through several ideas and options for my child that we could try and follow up before just saying okay I'm going to send you to Pittsburgh.
Always very satisfied with my children's visits!
she was very polite and seemed very caring about my child
This was our first time seeing Dr. Mullen and I was very pleased!
thank you for our first visit being helpful to our concerns .
Dr. Mullen is pleasant and thorough. Very pleased with her.
Great dr. and staff!
average wait time to see a provider is well over 45 minutes each time I've been there.
I had a severe burn on my arm. The doctor told me I needed to cover it but she did not cover it before I left. I would have thought she would have taken the time to properly show us how to cover the burn even though that wasn't the reason for the visit.
The nurses and receptionists at this office are wonderful! They do a fantastic job. Dr. Mullen is also very good. There are occasional times when I feel she does not completely listen to what I have to say, but for the most part she does. I only say this because in December I had my son in there when he had a fever of 104 degrees, and the first visit she said she felt nothing was wrong (just a virus) but to keep an eye on it. I brought him back two days later with the same thing, and again she said she felt nothing was wrong even though he had been spiking this temperature for nearly 5 days by that point. I reiterated that I was very concerned. She listened to his lungs and said they were clear, but asked me if I wanted to have his chest x-rayed just in case. I, of course, said yes. The doctor at the ER made me wait while they read the Xray, and it was pneumonia. I get a similar feeling whenever I tell her about a concern, kind of like she doesn't really put a ton of stock in my opinion. I am sure she gets many opinions from well meaning parents that are completely incorrect, including my own opinions at times. :) I generally defer to her because she is the doctor, and therefore I feel she knows much more than I do, but sometimes I wish she would dig a little deeper as to why I am concerned. I do not want to over emphasize this, because I actually really like and respect her. She is not overtly discounting what I say, she just takes awhile to really get what I am saying sometimes.
very courteous and professional :)
The student was very nice and asked a lot of questions. Dr. Mullen's was very nice and explained everything that needed addressed and gave us options. Dr. is great with my daughter and asked her questions and made sure she understood them.
we have nothing but good to say about her care and Dr.
We always enjoy seeing Amy!
Why did the doctor ask me if I had a boyfriend or girlfriend? That was very insulting. If she felt that she needed to be politically correct, she could have just asked if I had a significant other. When I told her I had a boyfriend, why did she ask his name? Did she type it into my records? Why did she ask how long we had been dating? Is that in my records? Why did she unhappy that I didn't want the HPV shot? She never once mentioned to me that no one would need an HPV shot if they didn't have any sexual contact or experiences. She assumed that my boyfriend and I would be "intimate" soon. That is offensive as well. The doctor seems nice, but I wonder if UPMC makes her ask these questions or if they were her own.
Was disappointed to be told that because I am not vaccinating my baby they won't continue seeing her. I understand the risks from both sides of the issue. But a doctor shouldn't refuse service because of a parents decision on a matter as controversial as immunizations.
I drive an hour one way to take my daughter to Dr. Mullen. She is that good!
kind and knowledgable
Amy is always very easy to talk to and understand and we feel very comfortable and confidant coming to her for our child's medical needs.
Dr.Mullen called me personally to discuss my newborn's care. she was genuine and sincere.
The best pediatrician around! Dr. Mullen and her entire staff including Marcy Herzog PA are the kindest Drs and nurses I've had the pleasure to take my children to. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind and only want what is best for you and your child. We couldn't be happier, and are blessed to have them in our lives!
great experience.. my son enjoyed his check up.
My son has a genetic disorder which requires a lot of follow up care. I'm so happy to have found a doctor, nurses, and staff that are a huge support!!
All of the staff seem to enjoy children and their friendliness helped my daughter to feel more at ease.
My husband and I love Dr. Mullen. She is so respectful and really takes time to talk with us and make us feel comfortable.
both provider and staff were very courteous and listened to our concerns. Interacted with my child very well to keep her involved with her care.
