commitment to sticking with appointment time is appreciated. friendliness and concern is felt, thank you. returned phone calls would be appreciated when there is a concern.
The doctor did not initially have the right size suture scissors. The scissors were too big so she had to pull particularly hard on the stitches to cut them. This pulling caused my child pain, which she showed clearlyi. At least 2 of 4 stitches removed at that visit were removed before she switched scissors. I would really have expected the proper sicissors to be available or for the doctor to switch scissors the first time she noticed that she was pulling that hard and the child was demonstrating discomfort.
Dr. Gaines is an excellent doctor. She provided excellent communication and she listened to us which gave us confidence in her advice/medical care. She is very respectful and professional.
Dr.Gaines is fantastic!
Our provider was excellent!
I love all my child's doctors. Children's is the best
Bar none the best doctor we have ever known for any of us. She is the reason our son is alive and the most kind compassionate caring doctor I have ever met. My child has had over a dozen surgeries and has seen over 7 different types of doctors in his life for various medical issues. Dr. Gaines outshines any other doctor we have ever met. She is phenomenal on every level. Care, skill and compassion.
Dr. Gaines saved my daughter's life. I will be forever grateful for her and all of the staff. Everyone from the flight nurses, ER staff, PICU staff, 6th floor nursing (especially Brooke) to the Trauma Clinic has been very supportive & caring to our family since the day of her accident April 2, 2014. Word's cannot express my gratitude enough!!
from our past, And present experiences with Dr Gains we will continue to recommend her to our friends as needed.
Excellent care by the doctor.
I always recommend Dr. Gaines to any parent who has surgical issues with their child. In the opinion of both myself and my husband, Dr. Gaines is the best surgeon Children's Hospital Pittsburgh has. If there was any doubt in our minds about Dr. Gaines, we would have gone elsewhere given our son's issues with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
