Dr. Gaines has saved my daughter's life on more than one occasion. I feel that she treats my daughter as if she were her own child-that is definitely a quality you want in a surgeon. She is very respectful towards our daughter and my husband and I. She truly listens when we talk and respects our opinion. It was a stroke of fate that she was the surgeon on call that day my daughter was a direct admit to the PICU. She was brought into our lives for a reason and we thank God every day for the gift of Dr. Gaines!
great doctor, highly recommend Dr. Gaines and her staff.
all of our experiences have been great and up to all my expectations
Dr. Gaines was amazing. She took time to listen to all of our concerns and answer all of our questions. She provided a very clear plan of treatment for our son, and very clearly explained each step.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gaines. She has saved my daughter's life on more than one occasion. She is caring and compassionate. She always listens to my concerns and we address them together. I thank God every night that she was the surgeon on duty that dreadful day when my daughter got sick, and every day thereafter that Dr. Gaines has been a constant support. She treats us like family and when your child is as sick as mine you definitely want someone who will treat them as if they are your own.
very kind, spoke to my son and was attentive and not rushed
The staff was great and were seen within 5 minutes of being there they answered all our questions I would use this doctor again and I will let people know about her
Dr Gains is excellent!!! Made us feel realcomfortable
We had a good consult with Dr. Gaines for our daughter's upcoming Nuss procedure surgery.
time waiting for the dr was longer than the dr was actually in the room
Dr. Gaines is a highly skilled surgeon and has excellent bedside manner. I am very pleased with the results of my daughter's Nuss procedure.
We were seen within fifteen minutes of scheduled appt because we were told to arrive a half hour early, which we did, so the total time in waiting area before being called into an exam room was fifty minutes. Dr. Gaines did most of the talking and asking my son questions, so there was not a time when she, the doctor was listening to me. There were only two very brief encounters with reception before seeing the doctor, so although I answered positively to the reception questions it would be more accurate to say the encounters were pleasant. Dr. Gaines was was professional as she spoke and questioned, aware of and up to date with my son's case and made me feel comfortable and secure with allowing her to care/operate on my son. Thank you
Dr. Gaines is not only an excellent surgeon but she has empathy and compassion. Truly cares for her patients and their family!
it was good care
Dr. Gaines was professional and decisive yet still made a connection with my 10 year old daughter.
Wonderful team we work with here
commitment to sticking with appointment time is appreciated. friendliness and concern is felt, thank you. returned phone calls would be appreciated when there is a concern.
The doctor did not initially have the right size suture scissors. The scissors were too big so she had to pull particularly hard on the stitches to cut them. This pulling caused my child pain, which she showed clearlyi. At least 2 of 4 stitches removed at that visit were removed before she switched scissors. I would really have expected the proper sicissors to be available or for the doctor to switch scissors the first time she noticed that she was pulling that hard and the child was demonstrating discomfort.
