Excellent service. Very pleased.
Dr. Luchansky always takes the time to evaluate my children's eyes. I never feel rushed. He is very thorough.
Dr. Luchansky has been the only one who can get my vision good.
He was calm and patient.
I thought all staff was courteous and easy to talk to. The appt was long, but there was info displayed showing that this could be the case. I understand that working with kids doesn't always go as planned.
He was incredible! Since we traveled 2+ hours for that appointment, I was so thankful for the great care he provided. The eye exam was thorough, and he was excellent with a toddler (not an easy task). I have told people time and time again how impressed I was with the whole process. The only thing I might have liked was some information to carry home (papers) regular the ocular plastic surgeon he recommended.
he was really nice,thanks
Dr. Luchansky and his staff could not have been more patient and understanding with my 2 1/2 year old toddler who was having a toddler tantrum during the entire visit!
Dr Luchansky has been very pleasant and helpful with my son.
Everyone was nice, courteous and thorough.
The only bad experience we had was wait time but to see Dr. Luchansky, it's worth the wait. I do feel the waiting room could have more interactive toys or activities for the kids since there usually is a longer wait time. (Wexford office) The staff is amazing and takes time with our child.
Very friendly and personable. My daughter was very nervous for the appointment and was fine due to the friendly staff and Nemo on the tv.
We love our time with Children's Hospital, they make us feel like we are the only patients there, when we are with the doctor or nurses.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful! You do wait a little bit to see the doctor, but that's every doctor in the world. I dont mind the wait, because of such great customer service.
waited over an hour and 15 minutes to even be called back to be seen for my daughters appointment
The Dr explained to me that my daughter's eyes look good and to do a follow up in 3 months. chances are she'll out grow it.
the Doctor did great with my daughter. He made her comfortable during the appointment and explained everything he was doing.
Dr. Luchansky was amazing. I was impressed by his familiarity with my health records although this was my first time seeing him.
he is good doctor.
Dr. Luchansky is the best eye care provider I can have for my kids. He's very thorough.
I was very disappointed by the wait time. I spent my whole entire morning in the waiting room. However, I noticed there was a sign stating the appointment now takes 2 to 4 hours. It would've been nice to have some sort of notification prior to the appointment because my whole day was spent sitting in the waiting room.
I feel like the doctor could be a little friendlier and understanding with children. I have seen this doctor several times for a few of my children and I feel this way after every visit. It is hard as a child to understand exactly what he is asking you to do and where you need to look. I just feel like he works with children all day that he should have a little more patient with them.
Dr. Luchansky was very nice and clearly capable. Dr. Luchansky explained things clearly and was easy to talk to. I was particularly impressed that he came out to the waiting room to call his patients back to their appointment instead of sending a nurse. It's something I've never seen before and found very surprising but in the best way possible.
I really like Dr. Luchansky. No complaints there.
the provider was very patient and understanding with my daughter who is a special needs child really appreciate that.
Our appointment was at 9:30 am. He say the eye technician within 10-15 minutes of the appointment time, but did not see the doctor until 11:20 am. Almost two hour wait - toitally unacceptable. No respect for our time. What I expected to take about 30-40 minutes was two hours.
Doctor is wonderful medical professional. we are completely satisfied with his services.
The doctor was wonderful. No complaints.
lack of information in the workflow in testing, diagnosing and treatments for child's condition.
we had a great experience everyone was nice and knowledgeable
visit was very good but the wait time was too long
Dr Luchansky was amazing. he was great with my daughter and listened to everything I had to say as well as explaining her diagnosis and additional information possibly needed.
Ease of communicating with the doctor is a huge plus.
it was good over all
Excellent, helpful, respectful, appropriate interactions for child's age and ability level, and I did not feel rushed.
my child however loving is t an easy child to test or have understand. he fits hand and fist. Dr L was calm and understanding. he didn't once raise his voice nor make me feel my son was being bad. I plan to switch to sedate exams only because the stress it causes my son and visit also in hopes one day he will experience a stress free visit. thank you for your patience
Dr. Luchansky is great with my son during every visit. He is kind, friendly and patient. He's a wonderful doctor.
Dr. Luchansky did a wonderful job interacting with my daughter. Even though she is going through a very ornery toddler stage, he kept her interest so well that she just sat there and cooperated with him.
Dr. Luchansky is always very nice and helpful. he always seems to remember us even though he only sees us yearly.
we absolutely love the care that we get with this healthcare provider. He always makes our child feel completely safe and comfortable. We have recommended him to others, and will continue to do so.
it was a good experience.
Dr Craig very thorough, kind. He was on time. I was out of Mercy in an hour.
Dr. Luchansky is always professional, courteous, kind and understanding of my sons special needs. he is very patient and respectful of him. He listens to what I have to say and answers my questions. I will take my son to him as long as we are able.
Excellent eye doctor, I highly recommend.
great visit. Love the doctor and staff!
he was awesome with my daughter.
Provider was very receptive to the problems being delt with and ideas to go forward for rehabilitating the problems at hand!
all seemed good
Dr. Luchansky is inpatient with my child. He does not make an effort to make sure she feels comfortable. He does not take adequate time to explain things to her, or to me. The instructions/treatment plan that he told us during her appointment were vastly different from the instructions printed on the after visit summary.
My son sees Heather before Dr. Luchansky at every visit. Heather is AMAZING! She actually makes an eye exam fun which is very hard to do.
I my previous appointment With Dr Luchansky I believe in 2011. Since that time I have had other providers. I recently had cataract surgery which required a new prescription for eye lenses. Dr. Luchansky was the Dr. that corrected a double vision problem for me.For this reason I was willing to wait for an appointment for Dr. Luchansky.
He was very thorough and had a pleasant demeanor.
He did apologize at the beginning of the visit for the long wait, that it was unacceptable. I appreciated his apology, but felt that a 3 hr visit to get eyes checked is unreasonable
my child's appointments are always at the end of day so we feel rushed sometimes and can never make our follow up appointments I feel like at least one person should stay till the last patient is gone
I thought Dr. Luchansky was very knowledgeable and also gentle. He made my very shy daughter feel at ease. I felt confident in his capabilities.
wait time was horrible. we were there for almost 2 hours
This specialist did not even look at the information that was sent from our referring doctor (a neuro-ophthalmologist) although he said several times that he needed to review this before he could determine whether a treatment plan was possible. We waited a long time for this appointment and were very disappointed in the entire process - from a full two hours of waiting to a doctor who was seemed who seemed to be unprepared for our visit.
we were seen before his appointment time as we got there early . They were all very friendly and helpful. This was our first time seeing him and he determined what the problem was and had the other Dr come right to the room to look at my son so I didn't have to have another appointment before moving forward to the procedure to fix the problem. very much appreciated!!
I was seen 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time. No apologies. No reason. The entire waiting room was very upset. I missed another appointment AND was unable to fill my eye glass prescription because they closed. This was for prescription lenses only. 5 minutes. No excuse! Will never go back. Shame on doctor and UPMC scheduling. Very unprofessional...
This doctor is a fine doctor!
I am extremely satisfied with the service and care at this office.
The doctor was thorough and was good with my child. I wanted to mention the person that did the first part of the eye exam, she was great with both the adult and the child.
Dr Craig was very patient and explained everything. Best paediatric ophthalmologist I met so far.
The doctor was very knowledgeable, but wish he was kinder. He was blunt and to the point. My opinion was the doctor needed to be more compassionate.
Dr. Luchansky was excellent. Very thorough and patient.
Exceptional care for a 1st time visit. Heather (our nurse) was amazingly accommodating to my son who is on the Autism spectrum and had 1,000 questions for her. She calmly and patiently answered every one of them.
He is a wonderful Dr. Very nice and understanding.
I really like Dr Luchansky. He is very thorough and kind. I make sure we see him every year. I won't switch as long as he is there!
Heather was very friendly and made my sons exam enjoyable. Dr Luchansky was also very professional and friendly.
This was the first time at this office with this doctor and I thought he was wonderful. He was caring and understanding. And very patient with my child. The nurse was EXCELLENT!! I have never felt so relaxed at a doctors office before. They were very kind and wonderful.
The care we received was great
We come from 3 1/2 hours away because we do feel that Dr Luchansky is the best provider for a children. We would love to stay closer to home, but we are so comfortable with him that we continue to make the trip.
All of the staff we met were very positive and professional. There isn't once instance that we would say was otherwise.
wait time is sometimes long but the doctor is wonderful with his patients
Our wait time was between 15-30 minutes which we thought was acceptable. Overall, the staff was very organized and professional.
Dr. Luchansky is very thorough and efficient during the eye exam, but we wait any where from 2-4 hours to be called into an exam room to be examined.
Dr. Luchansky has always been very thorough and careful in regards to the testing he orders for me, and has always been respectful of my questions and concerns.
Dr Luchansky was clear and thorough! He understood our circumstances and moved forward to working with one of his colleagues as we move forward to better understand my wife's condition!
our appointment was at 10:30 and we did not get seen until after 11:30. it was almost 1pm before we pulled out of the garage. Other than the lengthy appointments it wasn't bad. The doctor is well informed and listens to our concerns. My daughter's vision and her well being is a priority for our family.
in previous visit, we had good experience but however this time our experience changed . May it felt like we were rushed this time
Dr. Craig Luchansky was very good and helpful - he went through my medical record and addressed the problems with the glasses very thoroughly. I would definitely recommend him.
Provider was not kid friendly. Seems to have little patience.
Great team, keep up the wonderful work.
I was very impressed with the Dr and all the staff; they treated all other patients well too
The wait was long, but it's alright... The receptionist we're very friendly and the doctor was very friendly despite him seeing a lot of paitence most esp kids.
Dr. Luchansky knows my child's medical history and condition. He is very thorough with his examination and explains everything. his personality shone through on this recent visit and made it a very pleasurable experience.
Dr. L is the only doctor who figured out the correct prism prescription
A very long wait to see the opthomologist, but once I saw him he was courteous and responded to questions.
He was very nice!
Superior service as always..
my visit for my child eyes checkup was so good, everything was good .
I think he is a very competent professional
Provider could not have been more courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. He included my concerns in all matters. I would highly recommend this Provider
the appointment took over 90 minutes for a routine eye exam. I appreciate the thorough exam, but the wait time in this office is always much longer than any other provider that I see.
This was a very positive and productive visit.
Loved the nurse we had, I believe her name was Jamie she was very helpful. The doctor is awesome as well, I would highly recommend this facility and doctor to anyone in need.
very knowledgeable. understood my daughters disabilities and explained things clearly.
very little time waiting
direction medication and it's works
Very long wait to see Dr. appt at 240 and didn't see dr till 430
Both the Nurse and the Dr were awesome! The nurse could sense my daughter was very nervous. She thoroughly explained everything she was going to do before doing it as well as why it was being done and what sensation (pain or no pain) would be produced. She made my daughter feel very comfortable and was an excellent nurse! The Dr also explained everything to my daughter and answered all questions thoroughly. He was very calm and did not rush us out the door.
My child is on the Autism Spectrum and has difficulty with all doctor's visits and cries typically the entire time from waiting room to exit. She did this there the whole time but i never felt ignored or disrespected. They worked hard to make our experience successful and I left there feeling cared for by doctors, nurses, and staff. Thank you!
my son has a novel of diagnosis, including the troubles he's seen for with his eyes. the doctor was EXTREMELY over scheduled and only spent 7-10 minutes with the 10 children that we waited through before my son. we waited to see the doctor for nearly 2 hours in a waiting room with no toys or entertainment. this has been my most dissatisfied experience with the line office ever
Our appointment was at 10:45 we did not leave until almost 2 PM. When I inquired about the wait I was told "I don't know he's running really far behind." That would have been nice to know once I checked in! My child's eyes were dilated and made her vision blurry-to be expected to sit for hours after the drops are placed is a little unreasonable. This was an annual exam. The physician seemed irritated when giving my daughter directions. The appointment felt very rushed once we were in the exam with the doctor. He apparently didn't even review my daughters chart-as we were leaving he asked if her Ptosis was diagnosed at birth!! If you read the chart you would have realized that. We typically go to PGH for these appointments-but that office canceled this appointment 3 times and we were offered Wexford location to get the visit in-which should have taken place in MARCH. I will NOT go back to Wexford unless it's a dire situation and only if we are NOT seeing Dr. Luchansky.
Great first visit with doctor!
our appt was at 10:30so we checked in at 10:15. we didn't see the doctor until 12:30. it was ridiculous because I had all 3 of my young children there. there only seemed to be one doctor working that day.
had a good experience at the office just had to wait a little bit too long other than that everything was great
Dr. Luchansky is outstanding in every regard! He is personable, carimg, and highly skilled. I have 100% confidence in his abilities and will continue to recommend him to others.
Dr. Luchansky is a wonderful doctor! Very thorough and efficient with the time he spent with me. I look forward to seeing him for many years to come!
Nurse Heather was wonderful and so was Dr. Luchansky
overall great experience but the wait time was unacceptable, especially for a child who is almost two. appointment time was 2:45. we saw the doctor at 4:20. hard to keep child occupied. i
I appreciate the doctors ability to answer my questions on my health. and concerns for not getting unnecessary test of my eyes due to up coming glaucoma screen next month due. and alerting me to a reduce cost cause of this test for new glasses..
We waited a long time to actually see the doctor, but it was well worth the wait. Him and the staff are all wonderful and extremely helpful.
long waiting time in office waited approx 1 1/2 hours in office to see the doctor
I wish that the office had some evening or weekend hours, I have to take time off of work and pull my children out of school to visit this provider.
the wait time was ridiculous 2hours to see the doctor not acceptable
Good experence put poor on first question not because of the Doctor and staff but because I do not like to talk.
the doxtor was great. the woman before the doctor, (I'm sorry, I forget her name ) believe she works with alignment. She was british I think.... she was EXCELLENT
Dr Luchansky is a terrific doctor !
Dr. LuChansky was very kind and caring. He listened to all my concerns and never once did I feel rushed when speaking with him about the double vision problem I was having. I would HIGHLY recommend him to family and friends.
I thought the office was very nice and very clean. The office staff was helpful during check-in and registration. the exam was thorough, but the wait time was long. By the time the office visit was complete, the eye glass office was closed so my child was unable to look and choose a pair of glasses.
we love love love love this doctor - please tell him we said so - i would nominate him for what my hospital in johnstown would call a gold star!
We had a very good experience with this provider.
everyone was very professional and courteous.
excellent experience. I didn't check a circle for control of pain, as he had no pain
It was good all it was, was an eye appointment that was her first time there.
We waited 2 hours to be seen! That is quite extensive. Our appointment was for 3:00 and we finally saw the doctor at 5:05.
