we loved this doctor !
Dr. Chong and Dr. West are two of the most personable and professional providers I have met. They are so patient oriented and really show they care about their patients. So happy with their cqare.
Good Provider: we like this doctor. Availability is a problem, however, with an initial wait time of many months.
Dr. Cheong was wonderful, very caring and attentive to our concerns.
Out of all the specialists I have ever met in my lifetime, she was one of the best. She took time to get to know our son's medical history, all the while being very personable. You are lucky to have a doctor so special!!
We appreciated the knowledgeable and direct conversation between us, our son, and Dr. Chong. It made us feel less anxious and heard .
knowledgeable, patient and reassuring
We are very pleased with Dr. Chong. She is the best allergy doctor that our daughter has had. She is very thorough as well as down to earth and very pleasant.
Dr listened to our concerns and addressed every question.
We were very happy with Dr. Chong. She took the time to answer all of my questions and explained to me exactly what my daughter was experiencing, what to expect and what I can do about it. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need.
Dr. Chong was amazing. she spent so much time with us and really made us feel comfortable with our sons allergies. We waited 6 months for this appointment but it was worth the wait for the care she provided us with.
Dr Chong shows concern and makes my son feel comfortable in her office. He feels like he is part of his health and his opinion matters.
I could not have asked for anything better. Dr. Chong is wonderful, she took her time with us and genuinely cared about my daughter. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful with everything.
Dr. Chong and her fellow, Dr Coffey were totally amazing. They took tons of time to explain what they know about peanut allergies and to advise my daughter, husband and I on what to do next time she mistakenly ingests peanuts.
Our wait time was over 70 mins; however, the staff and provider were extremely apologetic. They brought drinks and snacks in the room for our family since we hadn't had lunch.
I waited 3 months for this appointment and was VERY disappointed! I felt the doctor was very dismissive of my concerns; when I was speaking to her she had her back turned. She didn't explain the test process that my daughter was about to go through. I had to question the nurse that came in the room. The doctor was very short in addressing any of the concerns and handed me a piece of paper and told me "this is what you need to give her (meaning my child)". As the doctor was walking out of the door, with her back turned to me, she told me she was giving my daughter 3 scripts and didn't explain what they were, how to take them, if there was any side affects and how long I was to keep her on the medication. On a positive note, I thought the nurse who was assigned to us and the receptionists were nice.
My experience was very good, besides the lng wait time. Dr. Chong explained everything thoroughly and truly showed she cared!
My husband and I appreciate the time that Dr. Chong spends with us to discuss our son's diagnosis and steps to take moving forward. She has always demonstrated professionalism, respect, and sincere care for our son and his situation. She is knowledgeable and willing to provide us with additional information to take with us regarding our son's diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Chong!
She has lots of knowledge. She also has a great sense of humor which my son loved.Very pleased
First visit with this provider (previous one leg the practice). Very knowledgeable & presented an excellent bedside manner!
This was our first visit with dr. Chong. She was excellent, spoke to my child in his level and listened to and addressed my concerns.
very much appreciated that the doctor was running on time for our appointment and gave us the attention we needed
Dr. Chong takes her time with us and explains and answers any questions we may have.
We had an excellent experience and feel she gave us answers to an on-going issue.
Dr. Chong is always very kind and compassionate. She is very knowledgeable. We travel 3-4 hours to see her and always will, she is that good!
Dr Chong is a fantastic allergist. she is thorough and answers questions with backed up information as well as examples. she is a great listener and spent adequate time with us.
Im so impressed with how well my child has been taken care of in this office.
I couldn't ask for a better place to take my grandchildren for her illness.
My complaints are that Dr Chong did not get the prescriptions ordered for my child as she said she would. They still have not been sent to my pharmacy. Also, I called on Monday October 16th to discuss my child's blood test results and was to be contacted back within 24 hours and I now have been waiting almost 96 hours to receive that return call. I am very disappointed.
Dr Chong is an extremely rude individual, she was unaware nor showed any concern/ compassion towards my child's or my concerns. She was blunt and rude to me , not looking at the history as to why testing may not have been completed. My daughter is extremely sensitive and has been through a great ordeal with eczema and allergies. Dr Chong choose not to listen to the facts. Dr Chong insisted that the tests that were ordered last time were never performed, yet they were. Also, she could have cared less and should NOT be practicing medicine for children
Dr. Chong and I have developed a good working relationship. I am a Anthem/Highmark BCBS subscriber. I have no choice except to walk away from the insurance that my employer offers. It will become a loss to me when Dr. Chong (and UPMC) becomes out of network providers after the Continuity of Care agreement between UPMC and Highmark expires. Dr. Chong and the allergy clinic brings a unique benefit of care being developed in a teaching and research environment that I do not believe is available anywhere else in the Highmark footprint.
Dr chong is wonderful she listens explains and kids feel at ease
Dr Chong is a great doctor. Listens carefully and is very knowledgable. we like her very much!
