Dr Jenna is amazing! My son feels comfortable and well cared for and so do I. She is knowledgeable and takes the time to work through all of our questions.
first visit with this provider- went well
Very thorough, very professional, and a very nice person overall.
Doctor Jenna is amazing and would definitely refer her to family/friends.
upbeat, professional, but down to earth. great communication with child and parent.
I feel like she was irritated that I had so many questions for her. Considering it is my child's brain, I feel like she could have been a little more understanding and patient. When I saw her the first time I left with more questions in my mind than I came with so I made a list this time and was determined to get them answered. I felt she was all over the place when she was explaining things and was more interested in trying to be funny and joke around with her PA. It would have been nice to be taken a little bit more serious. I just didn't leave there with confidence in any of her answers because they were not consistent with what she told me before and she didn't seem very clear herself on some of the things she said. I thankfully asked for a copy of the MRI report and I feel like things are going well after reading that myself, not from our visit with her.
Dr. Gaesser and her staff were beyond helpful in every way, getting my son in to see them in a short period between when we finally were approved for insurance and the dat of his spinal fusion. they've been phenomenal with all questions. I'm glad we moved to Pittsburgh for the surgery and, largely due to the quality of healthcare, we're going to stay.
Dr Jenna was Great & I would definitely ask to see her again. She was very knowledgeable & related well with our daughter
Dr. Gaesser is fantastic. She starts the visits by interacting with our daughter. Not all providers do this, but it makes a big difference. The visits never seem rushed, and Dr. Gaesser listens to all of our questions and gives us honest, straightforward answers. I feel that she tries to connect with who my daughter is as a person, rather than seeing her as a set of medical issues. This is so important to me, because I feel that a child with long-term and progressive illness should have doctors who know them, what's normal for them, their baselines, etc. We are so lucky to have ended up with Dr. Gaesser!
Jenna was great! only annoyance was when we checked out the recording already logged out so they are sending a bill. I prefer to pay in the spot.
I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Jenna is. She is everything a medical professional should be and much, much more. She goes out of her way to answer our questions. She takes far more time than I would expect with us, really getting to know our son (patient) and making sure we are all comfortable and have had all our questions answered.
Dr. Gaesser has gone above and beyond for both my children. Not only has she provided required quality care, but she has be a continual advocate for my children in all areas, pointing out concerns for PCPs, proposing solutions for behavior and social concerns and most importantly she looks at my children as children with all their complications, and not as epilepsy like so many other professionals. UPMC is fortunate to have Dr. Gaesser and so are we.
We followed my GPS to the wrong location. We receive text messages for reminders, and it listed the 4401 Penn Ave address, however, it didn't take us to Children's. After re-routing, we ended up being 40 minutes late for our appointment. She stuck around after her last patient, and saw us within minutes of our arrival because she was concerned for us being so late, and knew it was out of character. She is always willing to listen and explain anything we ask, and we could not have asked for a better Neurologist for our child. She is open and available and great with our son, as well as with us parents. She talks to us as if we are friends, not down to us, and is very comforting to us when we feel like we are frustrated or worried. We love Dr. Jenna.
We could not have had a better experience with Dr. Gaesser, or Dr. Jenna as she introduced herself. As a medical provider myself I hold practitioners to a very high standard when it comes to office visits for my children. I can without hesitation say that Dr. Jenna is in the top 1% of clinicians I have ever encountered. She took significant time to listen to everything my daughter had to say about the problems she has been experiencing and she went above and beyond when it came to discussing the differential diagnosis and explaining the reasoning behind imaging studies that are needed. Dr. Gaesser was extremely gregarious and friendly and put my daughter at ease right from the start of the visit. CHP neurology landed a good one in this provider and we are very fortunate to have had her care for our daughter. A+ Thank you!
this was our first appointment with Dr Jenn Gaeaser. She was wonderful; very friendly and down to earth. she seemed to really care about my son. She was running over an hour late handling a client emergency and she came in personally and updated us!!! when she was with us she gave the impression that we were her only client. she was very present in the moment.
amazing! She is the best physician my daughter has been treated by. Relates well!
Dr. Gaesser is exactly what doctors should be. She's not only attentive, thorough and curious, she has been an advocate for my son when others provided no insight or help. She is always, kind, responsive and not only discusses current treatments but is always planning ahead so that I know what to expect reguarding my son's care. She also understands child behavior and in addition to providing neurological guidance, she has passed along various tips to help overcome behavior challenges that epilepsy patients sometimes encounter. Most of all, she treats my children as a complete person, not just a brain and spinal cord. I'm thankful that Dr. was making rounds the night my son was first admitted with seizures. As a frequent critic of the medical community, I'm happy to say, Dr. Jenna is what the medical needs more of.
She is the absolute best!!
She is very friendly and works well children/parents.
my son is autistic and they were very cognizant and helpful with him
