dr Engh saved my life. he has provided me with the best care imaginable. he has made me feel comfortable and in good hands from day one. I have anxiety, especially in regards to Heath care providers and he has exceeded my expectations and made me feel comfortable at every single visit.
Dr Engh is an outstanding physician. He is competent and very attentive
Thier care and concern for my health was excellent.
Dr. Engh always makes you feel like you are the only person that matters at that moment. He spends as much time as you need with you, never acting rushed in anyway. He is very thorough in his assessment, explanations and partnering with you on making the plan to address your medical concerns. He is top notch in every way. UPMC is fortunate to have a physician with his degree of skill, knowledge and character.
Dr Jonathan Engh and his staff are wonderful. Not only does he provide excellent care for me, but he takes the time to explain my medical situation and listens to my concerns. He genuinely cares about me.
they provide excellent care and also want to make sure there is good communication with the patient.
Dr. Engh saved my life when I didn't even know it needed saving. He's our family's hero.
Dr. Engh is the epitome of professionalism.
My doc is the best ever. I would go back to him if I had another back problem.
I was very happy with the level of care I received. The Dr. and all his staff where very nice and respectful.
Dr. Engh is very personable, and a good communicator.
Dr. Engh is not only an excellent neurosurgeon but he is also very kind and compassionate. I can tell he really cares about his patients. During my pre-op visit he took the time to find out what my goals/expectations were if I had the surgery. He explained my options and I am so happy I chose to have surgery. I had my surgery on 9/21 and I am returning to work part-time on 11/21/16
Dr. Engh and his staff are phenomenal.
My appointment was scheduled for 8:20. The doctor arrived at 10:45 and then got called away for another 10-15 minutes. He seemed very hurried. This was my first appointment for this new condition and I wish the visit was not so disjointed. Plus, his recommended treatment differed from what seems to be the usual standard of care. I wish I had gotten the opportunity to understand why he chose the course of treatment that he did. As a result, I am going to seek a second opinion.
Dr. Engh and the entire staff are TOP NOTCH. Not just this visit, every visit.
Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive!
Every member of the staff was friendly, respectful & efficient.
very good doctor
Dr. Engh is tremendous. His knowledge and demeanor are rarely found together...and should be commended!
Dr. Engh is very personable and very good at explaining conditions in terms that are easy to understand. each year he remembers me and my case with no problem, and I greatly appreciate his genuine concern and care for myself and his other patients
Didn't see doctor until 90 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Sat in exam room, waited a long time, saw resident, waited again. This doctor is good, but the amount of time a patient has to sit and wait is unconscionable and devalues the patient's time and is not acceptable. Also, this is typical of a visit to this office.
Dr. Engh and his staff are great. My questions and any concerns are always answered. I feel that he takes time to really listen to me - as his patient. I always get the feeling that my treatment plan decisions come from him and me and I'm good with that type of doctor and those types of plans.
Love Dr. Engh! I just hate how hydrocephalus is so unpredictable and you can't always tell if there's something wrong with the shunt or not...but that's nobody's fault. I guess hydrocephalus patients are just meant to be extra special.
No written documentation provided upon completion of the visit . No written patient education detailing diagnosis, treatment or follow-up plan. I feel this is not good practice when you are asking a patient to consider treatment for a brain tumor. A link to an educational website at minimum would be appreciated. If the surgeon is limited for time his assistant should be available to participate in the consult and provide follow-up patient information.
I was very pleased with my (first) visit to Dr. Engh. He answered all my questions and concerns as to not to proceed with surgery immediately if not needed. He is proceeding with other options for my spinal problems. His staff is courteous and returns calls in a timely manner and is more than helpful.
Dr. Engh is always friendly and knows my background well. Nurse Patty stepped in to say hello and update some information which was nice.
think the man is top of the line. very professional.
Dr. Engh is smart, considerate, and conservative in treatment, which I like very much.
Dr Engh is truly an exceptional Doctor/surgeon and friend who cares about me. I would not be alive today if it were not for Dr Johnathan.
Dr. Engh was very personable and easy to understand quickly answered and explained any words or procedures I did not understand
The care by my doctor and staff is very excellent.
dr E and his staff are terrific. They are the best team I have ever seen and I have seen many. I recommend and praise him to everyone!
My husband, the patient Dr. Engh saw on 2/12/16, trusts Dr. Engh to perform surgery to alleviate the NPH condition that affects his gait and cognition. He was unwilling to undergo surgery until Dr. Engh showed interest, compassion, and support. The patient's family (wife, daughter, and son) are grateful to Dr. Engh for this level of care.
Dr Engh was excellent - I am impressed with the care I received at his office and in the hospital after my surgery. The surgery & recovery was difficult for me, but Dr Engh and/or his residents visited me daily while I was recovering in the hospital, and answered all my questions. Even after I returned home and had some more problems, the on-call staff provided assistance regardless of the hour. During the day the nurse (Patti Carlier) was always available and helpful.
I had a very good experience at my dr. appointment
The doctor was very personable. He explained the results of my tests very well.
Dr. Engh and his staff are wonderful! He is patient. Never makes you feel rushed. Answers all questions.
Dr. Engh is knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate. Trifecta.
My healthcare team is the best. I have received excellent care, courtesy, respect, assistance, information, and all around professionalism from this team. On a scale of one to ten I give them an eleven! Thanks UPMC!
Dr. Engh and the staff are TOP NOTCH, that is the best way to describe them.
Dr. Engh is a real pro. it would be great if all physicians were like him.
Dr. Jonathan Engh saved my life 2 years ago. I not only consider him my doctor, but my friend also.
Excellent care, Excellent bedside manners, Excellent doctor!
The line of communication with Dr. Engh and his staff is excellent. Anytime I had a health concern I could call or email Patti Cartlier and receive an immediate response.
Dr. Engh performed a craniotomy on me. The experience went so well given the nature of the procedure that I feel spoiled.
I needed an opinion as to whether I need surgery for a spine issue. Dr Engh and his resident Dr. Saviggeo(spelling) were very kind . They took the time to explain their opinions on this matter and I am very grateful. I was put as ease because what was going on with my spine was explained thoroughly.
Dr Engh and his staff are excellent!
Dr. Engh is the reason I can still walk. And he may well have extended my life. He is fantastic.
Dr. Engh is an excellent physician, I have complete confidence and trust in him
absolutely LOVE dr Engh and his staff!!! so wonderful!!!!!
I was very satisfied with the scheduled follow-up appointment with Dr. Engh. The brain MRI and then seeing the doctor in his office went very smoothly. We were in and out of there.
Always find Dr Engh very helpful.
Thanks for giving me the ability to walk again.
Compassionate, and technically able neurosurgeon. No arrogance. Took time to understand my complicated health issues. Took time to explain treatment options to my brother and I. Highly recommended.
Gave me absolute confidense in his knowlegde and experience.
I would do a TV commercial singing his office's praises.
