I was very impressed with the provider we saw today. This was our first time seeing him and I would definitely schedule with him again. He spent a decent amount of time addressing all of my questions and concerns with my daughter. He was more than helpful with additional suggestions for her care. My daughter has a bad track record with male doctors for whatever reason, but she took to him immediately. He was very good with her and made both her and I feel comfortable with him. He was great!
This was the first check up for our daughter & We couldn't be happier with our visit. Everyone was extremely helpful. Mitchell was extremely knowledgeable & friendly. We had a lot of questions & he never made me feel silly about asking. He was extremely thorough while looking over our newborn & explained what he was doing & why. We really appreciated having such a helpful doctor. THANK YOU!
The moment they hired Dr Mctavish, the office was upgraded drastically! He's wonderful!
we love dr Mitchhe cares so much about my foster daughterhe takes her medical issues very seriouslyhe is one of a kind
Mitch remembered meeting my son before and followed up on our last visit as well as caring for my current concerns. He provided thorough explanations and offered helpful suggestions in a respectful, easy-to-understand way.
dr was good and efficient
Our visit was great. We didn't have to wait long at all and Mitch was very thorough.
we have always had wonderful staff at Children's Community Pediatrics Bridgeville. The doctors are wonderful
Mr. Mctavish is always kind, compassionate, and my 11 year old son enjoys his appointments with him.
I called the office for a same day appointment when my daughter's "3 week cold" seemed to become much worse and was seen within the hour. Mitchell and John took such good care of her as we realized that she did not just have an ear infection but her oxygen was dropping too. They took no risks with her care, providing breathing treatments, oxygen and an ambulance ride to Children's where we spent two days. We easily could have missed the severity of her situation, without those extra steps they took so I am forever grateful of their attention to detail and care.
This new PA is very good. It is apparent that he cares for the kids. He was thorough in his assessment and provided additional information such as a throat symptom to look for in the future (to identify potential strep).
Mitch is always very thorough and his demeanor is comforting, putting my children at ease. He always takes the extra steps to explain what he's doing and what he is observing.
While the wait time was long, I do appreciate that we were able to get a same day appointment.
Provider is great, wait time however was long - although I should know better than to take an evening appointment for that very reason.
Long wait times even with an appointment. Provider didn't know exactly what the issue was nor did he look up my child's health history. He spent over 2 hours diagnosing/treating one child's acute illness.
I would highly recommend this provider.
very calm and thorough.
Dr... he was very nice! he actually mentioned the problem that I had concern with another provider (specialist)and he called me to give me the name and number of the other doctor. we play some phone tag, but he never gave up trying to contact me. very impressed!
staff is always helpful at this office. They answer questions, and see my child asap if necessary. Was pleased with the care received as Mitch listened, asked questions, was clear with instructions, and made sure I felt comfortable with the outcome for my child. He was friendly and had great bedside manner.
This provider is awesome! Very good with both of my boys!
Mitch was great! He took time with us and didn't make us feel rushed. He called us quickly at his own inconvenience to give us test results. He even asked about my other son just to check how he was doing too. He really seems to care and do anything to help his patients.
The provider exhibited biased opinions and showed disatisfation with the parents during the appointment. Very unprofessional to allow a patient to hear and see (by expression) personal feelings. He was overly concerned with weight gain that is the result of a MH medicationt he patient NEEDS to take daily, and would not take into consideration such side effects, instead placing blame on parents and the childs school lunches.
no complaints. he was good.
Related well to my child. Kind, caring, and efficient.
He was so pleasant!
Excellent attention to detail, asking many questions to really understand the issue, noticing many things I did not myself. quick results of strep throat sample and diagnosis and insistence we come back for follow up so he can be sure infections cleared up since this is her second round of antibiotics.
Mitch was very patient with my son, knew what was wrong and provided excellent care
this physician was great!
Great at interacting with my son. Seemed knowledgeable, but didn't give much information when I asked about long term effects of HPV vaccine.
He was excellent!
My son's appointment was scheduled for a Pre-op. Because I had lapsed in my son's 4 year well check, they combined the appointments. Dr. McTavich answered all of my questions and was thorough in his responses. We discussed developmental milestones and went through my son's medical history. He was able to clarify the questions I've had for some time. I'm appreciative of the time he spent with us. I couldn't be happier that I switched my son's pediatrician to Children's. I've never been disappointed with the level of care my son has received.
I was very impressed with the service we received at my sons appointment. Not only did the provider remember us after only meeting us one time prior over 6 months ago at another one of my child's visits but he did a great job listening and explaining things to both my son and myself.
All providers we have seen have been great - very respectful and caring.
I can say everything is excellent.
I didn't care for the way that he assumed that I just gave up on breastfeeding before trying solutions and educating myself. I have tried every suggestion, food, supplement that is legal to obtain in the US, consulted LC's, and used all available resources so before having a conversation of suggestions he should probably ask pertinent questions.
I liked the games the kids could play in the waiting room. it seemed like a nice office. I like this location better than the moon office.
Excellent provider! it was the first time that we ever met him. He was professional and took his time with my son.
Mr. McTavish was an excellent and thorough provider.
Mitchell was excellent with my son and answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family!
Mitchell was excellent in his overall care and concern for my daughter!
This is the first time we have seen Mitch and we were super pleased with his care. He was attentive and listened to our concerns and spoke to my child in a manner that was very appropriate for her age.
Sports physical. Mitch was very thorough and took the time to assess a 4x2" sliding injury sustained to ensure it was healing properly. Much appreciated.
listened to me. did a thorough exam
He was thorough. His specific tests and questions made sense for the context of the visit.
This was our first visit with Mitch Mctavich; I was super impressed with how he interacted with my child and his ability to explain the diagnosis clearly. Will ask to see him again for future care.
he spent a lot of time with us. very thorough, i could tell he was carefully thinking and considering my son's best interests. he personally called me the next day to follow up and arranged an appointment for me at childrens which was very helpful and appreciated. he had good bedside manner.
This provider seemed very invested in the health of my newborn. He was not the doctor I usually see which always makes me nervous but he made me feel very comfortable that my daughter was in good hands. When he was unsure about something he brought someone with more experience in for a second opinion. This made me feel confident that my daughter was receiving the very best possible care.
He was very nice.
Mitch was very friendly and upbeat. He made my child feel at ease.
All good, I like this office very much.
We really appreciate the time the PA spent with my son. He listened to our concerns and seemed very caring.
we waited over 40 mins past the appt time and we were in the room over 30 mins between nurse and dr- my son was very sick with strep - wait was unacceptable!
he was very personable and listened to our concerns
Everything was wonderful at our appt. The provider Mitch McTavish handled my concerns about my daughter's condition with respect and knowledge.
Mitchell was awesome; he interacted very well with my child! he got right on his level to talk to him and tried to make the experience a fun one for my child!
This Dr/PA, was just wonderful-what a breath of fresh air to listen as my grandson was given 100% attention and treated so kindly! our health system needs more health care providers like dr mactavish (sp?)
i think in overall this provider is very good !
We are always happy with the care at the moon office!
always great, thank you
We waited over 30 minutes for the doctor to come into the exam room. Upon waiting that long, I had to go ask the nurse when we were going to be seen. He came into the room 5 minutes later, apologizing b/c he had been seeing another patient relating to an emergency room visit. It is unacceptable for someone, especially a sick child, to wait 35 minutes in an exam room to see a provider.
Mitch is great. He is always so helpful and kind when we see him.
Just concerned that it took me pointing out the yellow/green goo coming from her eyes prior to getting a prescription. Prior to my commenting on it, it was a viral infection that I was to only treat with Tylenol and/or Motrin. The provider seemed thorough but he also seemed inexperienced. Very kind and great bedside manner, but I don't know that I would see him again unless necessary.
very nice. my son related to him well. we will see him again.
Mitchell McTavish has great "bedside manner" and is wonderful with my teenage son and myself. He allowed my son to answer questions about himself, yet was respectful to me when I added some info a parent. He is a wonderful provider for teens.
Very good appointment. He took time to do a thorough evaluation.
Ths staff is always friendly and considerate of my child's needs. They take their time and make you feel like you're getting a thorough check up and make sure to go over any concerns or questions that you have.
