TREMENDOUS STAFF. MADE MY SON FEEL SAFE AND DR RELIEVED HIS CONCERNS. WONDERFUL TO MY SON AND I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL.
Dr. Varma was very kind and knowledgeable. My child and I felt very much at ease during our visit with him. He listened to all of my concerns/comments and spoke to us in a way that was easy to follow.
Dr Varma is the best doctor ever
was not happy that the dr literally saw my son 1 hr after his scheduled appointment time.. to the minute...
Dr. Varma was exceptional. He was put on this earth to treat children. God truly blessed us with putting Dr. Varma in our life.
dr Varma and the staff are amazing!!! extremly helpful! extremely kind!!
they were very nice
The nurses did a fantastic job, but Dr. Varma even though he did his job in evaluating my son and then ordering the tests that he needed, was not friendly, was cold and distant. He asked me if I had any questions and then when I asked him about what could have caused my son's seizure, he acted a bit arrogant and said " that is why we are doing tests" in a condescending tone and left the room as if my work here was done. He did not like my question at all. As a parent of an non verbal autistic child, I have a lot of concerns about my son's care under this new scenario of seizures. Again he did his job but he needs to work on his treatment of the parents. He needs to be friendly and approachable.
won't go anywhere else. Dr.Varma and stuff are the best
Doctor and staff are very helpful in try to find answers to her symptoms
We always have a good experience.
Dr. Varma was amazing! He took time to talk to me and my son. He is in the process of helping us figure out what is going on. so glad we found him!
dr. varma provided excellent care in a calming, compassionate manner
Dr. Varma has a wonderful "bed side manner" that many doctors lack!
wait times during appointments are unacceptable.
very satisfied with all staff we came in contact with, very friendly.
We love Dr. Varma and his staff. We have been seeing Dr. Varma for roughly 8-9 years now. We make a 12 hour round trip visit just for our sons check ups. We feel so comfortable and confident in his medical care and he has always explained things so that we know what is going on with our son and his plan of care. His nurses are also absolutely great. I feel really confident with my sons care that he gets from them.
Our family absolutely loves Dr. Varma. My son is 10 years old and we have been seeing him since my son was life flighted to children's back in 2007. We have always trusted everything Dr. Varma has done and we make a 12 hour round trip every time from our house. I cannot thank Dr. Varma enough for caring for our son.
i have referred a few people here already and would be glad to keep referring people here
listen to the parent when their talking without interrupting. they know their child best.
Our regular pediatrician is amazing. Dr. Varma treated me like I was an idiot. He asked if I had any questions and when I asked, he laughed at me and did not answer them. I left the visit with more questions and not feeling satisfied at all. I was very disappointed with this visit and would like to find a Dr. that will not talk down to me and one that could answer my very simple questions.
waiting time in a doctor office is awefully long.
Wonderful initial visit. Well pleased
This was my first meeting with a neurologist about a chronic condition that my child is experiencing, but she was also under the care of a GI doctor. Neither doctor has explained very much about her tentative diagnosis - everything I know I've learned from researching it myself. You spend more time discussing the issues with the nurses at UPMC than the doctors, who spend about 10 minutes with the patient and do not convey enough relevant information. I have no idea about the plan of action for her condition after the test results come in, again, except for referring to internet sources. I leave every appt. with a specialist completely frustrated. And overall, it takes a ridiculously long time for follow-up visits. My child is dealing with a chronic condition - she is missing too much school and our lives are completely disrupted. Three months is a long time to wait for the next steps.
best care anybody could ask for! will not go any where else for her care
Dr. Varma is phenomenal! His team is terrific, too.
