She did not tell my son what she was doing to him physically during the exam. She DID NOT want him that she was about to do a steep culture. She took out the long cotton swap, told him to open his mouth. I feel she should have explained she was going to scrap his tonsils & it might make him feel as though he was gagging. As an adult, I would be uncomfortable if a Dr. or Nurse Practitioner did this to me. As for a child, it made him uncomfortable. She also just lifted his shirt to listen to his heart, etc. without telling him or asking him to do so. He's old enough to be asked to do that himself. She was knowledgeable & thorough in the exam. She answered all my questions but never really addressed my son directly. I believe he is old enough to participate in some aspects of his health. Being treated as though he is a person, not just another appointment, helps develop relationships with any medical professional he comes into contact with in the future.Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback.
Dr. Sandy makes the children feel comfortable and not afraid to go to the doctors.
Sandy has been my healthcare provider since I was 2 she is excellent I always recommend her to anyone
I am overall very satisfied with the care my son received from his attending nurse Ms.Sandra did excellent explained ecerything to thoroughly and covered every end and explained everything we were doing step by step
The provider was very attentive to my child's needs.
we love her. she is awesome
I have explained to this provider that I was not in need of resources for behavioral health support for my child, because I am very knowledgeable in this area of expertise, I informed her that I have a graduate degree and license to practice social work. I believe she was insulting my intelligence, because she was still attempting to provide me with this information and I certainly did not appreciate this.
My child is always treated with the most kindly friendly staff each visit.
