excellent care provider by the Doctor, Fellow and technician .
doctor jhanji was perfect and very concerning, During surgery staff took pre cautions to be safe and make sure correct procedure was being performed.
Door was left open while going over medical history? So everyone walking past or in the hall could hear No gloves worn
I feel like everytime I go to this office, I start over. I have been there 3 months in a row and see a different resident/fellow who obviously has not read my chart as I tell the same story over and over. I see them much longer than the physician, but they can't really answer questions. The physician comes in and they all talk in language I don't understand and within 2 minutes have a plan of some other regimen of eye drops. one visit they tell me they don't like to prescribe restasis but the next visit that is exactly what they give me. It is very frustrating as I feel I get 3 minutes of physician time, they change my eye drops and say come back in a month - I will be on my 4th visit (at $40 copay and $5-8 to park each time) and still do not have any long term plan for my issue.
everyone was extremely professional, respectful, and helpful. This was the first visit and happy that we will be back for continued treatment.
Very good experience. knowledgeable and professional.
I was a new patient, and was really impressed with the level of service by this provider. I plan on switching my care to this provider, and have already recommended this provider to friends and family.
I felt that this doctor was somewhat judgmental of my previous eye treatment and decisions. I don't think he was interested in listening to what I had to say. He was a little bit patronizing. I spent over 30 minutes with his assistant, waited for over 20 minutes for him, and then the visit was over in less than 10 minutes! The UPMC nursing staff was excellent as usual.
overall excellent care
I don't usually use Upmc but was very very impressed with hospital and staff. very impressed
Dr. Jhanji was an excellent care provider. He was thorough, answered my questions, and inspired my confidence in his assessment and recommended treatment.
no treatment really. was seen for the same issue before which wasn't effective and was just told to switch to a different over the counter eye drop. was told that my condition was "not that bad" even though the only testing that was actually done showed a severe condition. I felt like I was being brushed off even though there are multiple things that could have been done only by a physician and were not.
The nurse got me in quickly and he was very good. I waited and an assistant came to care for me. The doctor, Jhanji took him away when he started. Jhanji came back and quickly assessed me. He kept answering his phone right in the middle of looking at my eyes. Everything went well. The assistant finished up and the receptionists were very kind.
The physician did not demonstrate respectable conduct during my visit. He entered the room and did not greet me. Instead he asked the medical student "what is the age of the patient". He proceeded to conduct himself this way throughout the appointment until the end when he asked about my profession at which point I explained that I am a physician at UPMC. At thirst point, his demeanor changed. I was disappointed that my profession would dictate the level of service.
My optometrist told me my eyes are getting worse and that I would like need cataract surgery. This gave me a scare so I asked my PCP (Dr. Kapoor) to recommend and eye specialist so that I could get checked. Dr. Jhanji and his team (and RN and a medical student) carefully checked me and, as I learned, my eyes are quite for a 60 year old! I appreciate greatly that the team is so conservative about aggressive interventions (eye surgery!). The entire team taught my some good things about aging and eyes. And, I will follow up in another year. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this doctor literally saved my eye from a parasite. I am so glad I went there. They squeezed me in on a Friday. The doctor had specialized knowledge that most doctors don't have since he is from the other side of the world. He is experienced and diagnosed me properly after visiting 3 other doctors.
The provider came into the exam room before the dye drops were given. He examined my eyes without the drops being in and said he would be back. The Resident put the drops in and she examined my eyes. She said everything looked fine and left to get the doctor. She came back and said he didn't need to see me!! I paid to be seen by an experienced opthamologist. I wanted an experienced doctor to give me his opinion. Maybe he would have seen something the resident in med school missed. Very disappointed, as my eyes were still bothering me.
I went for a second pinion and left very happy with the results of my visit
I'm very satisifed with the care I receive at UPMC Eye
I think everyone was very competent but they could have paid more attention to my explanations of my injury and description of my discomfort/concerns. He wasn't as attentive and friendly as he could have been.
Excellent experience from start to finish.
this is not my normal eye dr. mine was out of town and I was having an issue that I thought needed looked at soon. Nurse who got me the last minute appt was extremely accommodating in getting me an appt so I didn't have to worry about my issue.
my appointment was at 1 and the board said my doctor was on time. didn't get in there until at least 2:30. when you have a child with you that's not ideal. maybe don't schedule so many appointments at one time. I don't think I'll ever come back
On May 12, my appointment was 2:15 pm, I waited till 4 pm, and did not get to see the doctor, then, I had to leave due to my conference at 4 pm. I will have to reschedule for an appointment. The patient load at this UPMC office is overloaded. I am considering to change to another care provider.
As a medical professional myself, the doctor and his resident answered my questions and treated me with respect.
