She is a pediatric hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her clinical interest is in pediatric metabolic liver diseases. Dr. Khan specializes in the medical care of children before and after liver transplant, and she treats patients with acute and chronic liver diseases. In addition to inpatient Liver service and outpatient clinic, she also performs routine GI procedures including endoscopies. Dr. Khan's research focuses on cellular approaches to liver regeneration and transplantation. She is member faculty of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and the Pittsburgh Liver Research Center.
