Brief Summary of Lecture: Dr. Sadjadi will analyze the scientific and cultural context of the medicalization of gender nonconformity. She will diagnose the existing clinical paradigms and ethical dilemmas and prescribe a perspective, encompassing all children, that suggests an affirming clinical practice, neither dissuading cross-gender interest nor promoting medical intervention.
