Brief Summary of Lecture: The focus of evidence-based clinical practice, education, and research on quantitative data tends to underestimate the significance of social determinants of health and qualitative factors accompanying a diverse populations. Through a series of case studies, Dr. South-Paul will elucidate how a balanced approach promotes high quality care, more comprehensive inclusion in educational programs, and research that addresses the needs of a broader segment of the population.
