Brief Summary of Lecture
Dr. Sarah Friebert will build on the patient and family centered medical home framework and discuss the concept of the medical neighborhood – the interface of medical sub-specialists and the medical home. Specifically, she will examine what the medical neighborhood for children with medical complexity should look like and the actions sub-specialists can take to optimize these relationships. Lastly, she will discuss the unique benefits pediatric palliative care can bring to the medical neighborhood for children with medical complexity.
