Brief Summary of Lecture: Treatment of cancer in 15- to 30-year-olds has lagged significantly behind younger and older patients in the United States. In the last 20 years, many pediatric institutions have tried to cross the boundaries of pediatric and adult centers to improve care for this age range. Dr. Rapkin will summarize the state of AYA cancer treatment in the US and highlight plans at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
