Brief Summary of Lecture: This lecture will focus on defining medical simulation and why it is important to medical education. Examples of important and informative pediatric simulation will be discussed, including projects both nationally and locally. Finally, the lecture will describe our UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh process and resources for pediatric simulation.

**This lecture meets the requirements for patient safety/risk management CME credit by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
