Brief Summary of Lecture: Dr. Cruz will review the most common clinical manifestations of childhood tuberculosis (TB) and provide an overview of how to identify radiographic findings of and plan diagnostic evaluation of TB. She will offer an overview of new diagnostic tools and shorter-course treatment regimens. She will address challenges in securing microbiologic confirmation of TB and initiating therapy when cultures are negative.
