The fellowship program offers an NIH T32 research training grant in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine for eligible, highly-qualified candidates. The training grant is designed to prepare trainees for a career in clinical, translational, or basic science research in an academic environment.

The standard fellowship is three years in duration, with the majority of the first year devoted to clinical training and protected time given for research activities over the next two years. U.S. citizenship is not required for application to the fellowship. The fellowship program is currently directed by Jonathan Spahr, MD.
