Pediatric Residents Interested in Medical Education (PRIME)

PRIME is an area of focus that serves as a supplement to the general pediatrics training in the residency programs at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. It provides members with an immersion in Medical Education topics, both for enrichment of its members and to assist these members in improving medical education training for all residents.

Residents best served by this area of focus would be those dedicated to in a career as a Clinician-Educator in an academic setting. Skills learned in this curriculum will help prepare residents to pursue such careers as Residency Program Directors, Fellowship Program Directors, or Medical School Clerkship Directors.
