Wexford Location Increases Convenience With More Parking, Café
Improvements are happening at Children’s North—including an additional operating room and a café where visitors and employees can enjoy a snack and a break.
The move of Physical and Occupational Therapy, as well as Speech-Language Pathology, to Pine Center, also in Wexford, opened up space for subspecialties to expand at Children’s North in the coming months. Cardiology and Gastroenterology (GI) will move into the recently vacated space, and Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (ENT) will expand in the spaces previously occupied by Cardiology and GI.

August 4 is the opening of an additional same-day surgery suite at Children’s North, allowing even more outpatient surgeries to be conducted outside the Oakland campus, which is operating at capacity. The same surgeons and anesthesiologists who perform these procedures in Oakland also do so at Children’s North, and now more children needing less complex procedures can have them done there. Two more enhancements at Children’s North are a café where employees and visitors can take a break with a snack, and 90 additional free parking spaces.
