The 102.5 WDVE on-air personalities, including Randy Baumann & the 'DVE Morning Show, which includes Bill Crawford, Val Porter and Mike Prisuta, as well as Michele Michaels, and Sean McDowell, all broadcast stories of exceptional care and tremendous courage from patients, families, and staff live from Children's Hospital.

The three-day radiothon featured live performances from Scott Blasey of The Clarks, and local musicians, Josh and Gab, Andre Costello, Joe and Johnny Gruschecky, Bill Toms & Phil Brontz, and members of the Ten Band.

"WDVE has loyal listeners all over western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio and those listeners called in at record levels to pledge their support because they realize that this is their children's hospital," said Greg Barrett, president, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. "We are so grateful to those listeners, and to the entire DVE team for their passion in supporting Children's so we can continue to invest in research, equipment, and programs that make it one of the leading children's hospitals in the country."

In celebration of the seventh anniversary of Radiothon, WDVE and Children's teamed up with Peoples Natural Gas to create the Platinum Rock Star program. Listeners were encouraged to increase their Rock Star minimum donation by $7 more per month, committing to a total of $17 per month. Platinum Rock Stars will have the opportunity to win an All Access Prize Pack from Stage AE, which includes two general admission tickets to every 2015 show.

"WDVE is committed to improving the Pittsburgh community and helping its families," said Tim McAleer, Market Manager for iHeart Media Inc. Pittsburgh. "We are very thankful to the DVE listeners for helping us surpass last year's total and for being so generous to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh."
