If you think your child might have a food allergy, we can help.
At the Food Allergy Center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, our doctors see children with the entire spectrum of food allergies.
Our young patients and their loved ones also have access to the full range of world-class services and resources at Children’s Hospital.
Read about new food allergy guidelines here, featuring insight from Dr. Todd Green, director of the Food Allergy Center.
Food challenges are essential tools for diagnosing and managing food allergies in children.
The Food Allergy Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC conducts more food challenges than other providers in this region. We perform these tests in our Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC) at the main hospital.
While we only offer food challenges in our controlled PCTRC setting, our allergists see children with food allergies at all Children's Hospital allergy and immunology locations.
The Food Allergy Center at Children’s is a designated Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) Center of Excellence.
The research we conduct helps improve future food allergy treatments for children.
We're always looking to work with our young food-allergic patients and their families. We want to ensure that our goals align with those we serve.
We welcome your involvement in our activities.
While a cure remains the ultimate goal, there's still much work to do. Until then, we're doing our best to improve the quality of life of children with food allergies and their loved ones.
