Absolutely the best place to start - a wealth of helpful information! The site has NO frills, but it offers hundreds of well-chosen links to local and statewide disability information (plus some national organizations to contact as well). Topics covered include: accessibility (including electronic access), assistive technology, children with disabilities, developmental disabilities, educational resources, employment, government resources, independent living, news, organizations to contact, specific disabilities, and travel.     An up-to-date bibliography of books for children and teens about a wide range of diseases / disabilities; all listings are owned by Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and accessible to anyone in the area with a current library card or by ILL to others in PA.
