What is the Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC)?

Formerly, the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC), the Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC) is located in the Main Tower of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The PCTRC provides the opportunity for physicians to investigate childhood diseases in a controlled environment in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. It is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Research Resources, headquartered in Bethesda, MD.
