Ulcerative Colitis Study
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is currently recruiting subjects to participate in an experimental study for treating children with ulcerative colitis.
Study drug and procedures, (including medical monitoring of your ulcerative colitis symptoms), will be made available to participants at no cost. Compensation will be provided for time and efforts in study participation as well as reimbursement for travel expenses.
Candidates
- Be between the ages of 5 and 17 years old
- Have mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis symptoms (inflammation of the large intestine and rectum)
You will not qualify if you:
- Have severe ulcerative colitis,
- Are known to be intolerant or allergic to salicylates (e.g,: Bayer, Bufferin, Ecotrin)
