Uchenna Mbawuike, BS
Research Technician

After graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Uchenna Mbawuike worked as a research assistant at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. There, under a research diversity fellowship from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, she studied the interactions of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with the human cellular host. Uchenna then attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh and plans to pursue a master’s degree and apply her extensive research background and knowledge towards a successful career in biological research.

Outside of the lab, Uchenna enjoys attending West African dance class, trail running, and painting.
