Adolescent Behavioral Health Initiative Focus Groups

Protocol Description

The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation are gathering experiences and thoughts about resources that exist in Allegheny County to support a behavioral health crisis that requires some sort of professional help. The intent is to learn more about experiences related to a mental health or substance misuse crisis among adolescents.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This study is recruiting young adults ages 18-24 who:
    • Experienced a mental health crisis as a 12-18 year old, and/or
    • Experienced an alcohol or other drug misuse crisis as a 12-18 year old
  • This study is also recruiting parents of 12-18 year olds who experienced one of the above crises.

Requirements

Participate in a 90 minute focus group discussion.
