Our State-of-the-Art Childhood Research Facilities and Labs

With support from the National Institutes of Health and others, our staff has access to cutting edge research labs with the most advanced tools.

The John G. Rangos Sr. Research Center serves as the hub of basic childhood research at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The 300,000-square-foot center is home to 70 principal investigators who focus on research topics such as genomics, immunology, and neuro-science.
The Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center allows doctors to research childhood diseases in a controlled setting.
The Pediatric Simulation Center of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC provides staff with life-like tools to help them recognize and manage a wide a range of health problems in children.
Pediatric Transplant Research at the Hillman Center focuses on improving the medical management and survival rates of all pediatric transplant patients.
