The Children's Inpatient Unit at UPMC Hamot ensures your child is comfortable and well cared for in a child-friendly setting. Our pediatric hospitalists are trained to see and care for all children for a variety of conditions, including respiratory distress syndrome, asthma, pneumonia, influenza, gastroenteritis, and more. They are also specially trained to care for newborns just after birth. Pediatric hospitalists provide seamless care from admission through discharge, staying in constant contact with your child's primary care physician.
